Fire Safety Training and Fire Drill

To further raise fire safety awareness among enterprises and enhance their emergency response capabilities, the Shifan Chamber of Commerce held a fire safety training session on the afternoon of September 21. Organized by Wu Ben—Director of the Yueqing Huadong Instrument and Meter Factory and Vice President of the Chamber—the event featured Zhao Shunyong, captain of the Shifan Fire Brigade, and his team. They conducted fire safety training and emergency drills for business leaders and safety officers from member enterprises. More than 30 representatives from 14 organizations participated in the event.

Through activities such as specialized safety lectures and emergency drills, this event imparted a range of safety knowledge to corporate executives and safety officers. Topics included the "Four Capabilities" of fire safety, the "Three Understandings and Three Competencies" for daily fire safety management, methods for inspection and prevention, and self-rescue techniques in the event of a fire. During the emergency drill session, firefighters demonstrated the proper use of equipment—such as fire extinguishers and hydrants—and invited participants to try using the extinguishers themselves. Through this hands-on interaction, the attendees gained valuable insights and significantly heightened their fire safety awareness; they mastered the use of fire safety equipment, familiarized themselves with basic escape procedures, and improved their capacity for self-protection and self-rescue.

Following the event, Vice President Wu Ben urged the attending business executives and safety officers to properly report on and disseminate the information upon their return. He emphasized that executives must guide and educate employees on safety awareness, strictly reinforce safety inspections and preventive measures, and enhance capabilities regarding fire prevention, initial fire suppression, and emergency evacuation. He called for the effective elimination of fire hazards and solid progress in workplace safety, urging all parties to work together to ensure the safe and stable development of their enterprises.
