Mineral insulated cables are referred to as MI cables. The overall structure is an all-inorganic composite structure: solid conductive core wire + high-purity compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) mineral insulation layer + seamless metal outer sheath (three mainstream sheaths: copper tube, 304/316 stainless steel, and Inconel alloy).
Divided into two major categories: MI temperature measurement cable (thermocouple armored wire) and MI heating cable (high temperature heating pipeline). Magnesium oxide is densely filled to isolate air and water vapor. It can withstand high temperatures of up to 1000~1200℃ for a long time. Its fireproof, insulation and thermal conductivity far exceed ordinary silicone and glass fiber high-temperature wires. It is the core wire for temperature measurement and heating wiring in high-temperature working conditions.
Heating cable applications: heat tracing and insulation of petrochemical pipelines, heat tracing and insulation of various oil storage pipes and liquid pipes
Heat tracing and insulation for glass molding processing equipment
Nuclear power plant pipeline electric heating insulation
Railway tracks, switches and airport runways melt snow and ice
Anti-condensation for aerospace and avionics instruments
Baking heating in vacuum coating equipment in the electronics industry
Heating of vacuum freeze drying equipment
Air and other gas heating
Tempering and annealing units
Temperature measurement cables are used in thermal power plants: power cables around the boiler furnace, high-temperature flue areas, instrument control lines, and main fire protection lines throughout the plant, which can withstand high temperatures caused by thermal radiation from the furnace.
Nuclear power plant: Safety-grade power supply cables for nuclear islands and conventional islands, which are fire-resistant, radiation-resistant, and moisture-resistant and corrosion-resistant. They are standard cables for nuclear power emergency power supply.
Wind power/photovoltaic: high-temperature circuits inside the wind turbine tower, fire-resistant power distribution of photovoltaic power station box transformers, and fire protection circuits of energy storage power stations. The surrounding areas of steel blast furnaces, steelmaking workshops, steel rolling production lines, coking plants, and cement rotary kilns have long-term high temperatures, splashing steel slag, and harsh dust. Ordinary plastic cables are easily aged and burned, but MI cables can operate stably for a long time. Power distribution and fire protection lines for ocean-going ships and warship engine rooms; power supply lines for vehicle shelters, radar base stations, and military industrial positions; aviation engine test benches, and high-temperature test lines for aerospace test plants.
Based on the operating temperature, degree of medium corrosion, and bending requirements, copper/stainless steel/Inconel sheath materials, cable outer diameter, and core number specifications are recommended.
The outer diameter, total length, heating power, cold end length, bending shape, and end sealing structure of the cable can all be customized as needed; samples can be quickly prototyped, and orders of all sizes can be accepted.
