Thermowell-style thermocouples and RTDs are mainly used for steam temperature measurement in boilers and process pipelines. To withstand the impact of high-temperature, high-pressure and high-velocity steam, the sensors are designed with a relatively short insertion depth. To eliminate measurement errors caused by limited insertion length, the sensors adopt an integrally drilled solid thermowell with a tri-faceted profile. The thermowell is assembled and fully welded to the main equipment with a cylindrical sleeve. The annular gap between the tri-faceted structure and the sleeve inner bore allows full filling of high-temperature process medium, effectively extending the equivalent insertion depth and ensuring accurate temperature measurement.
Two structural and mounting configurations are available to suit different working conditions of pressure, temperature and flow velocity.
Key Features
1. Fully mineral-insulated sheathed construction provides excellent pressure resistance, vibration resistance, high stability and long service life.
2. Elastic compression contact between the sheathed element and thermowell bottom shortens thermal response time and further improves vibration resistance.
3. Large-capacity thermocouple junction box and optimized wiring structure enable simple, fast and reliable field connection.
4. Separable design of sensor body and thermowell allows fast element replacement without system shutdown, greatly improving maintenance efficiency.
5. One-piece thermowell with deep blind-hole machining features uniform wall thickness at the sensing end. Free of welding stress and intergranular corrosion, it offers superior pressure and impact resistance to ensure long-term stable and reliable operation of power generation units.
